There has been much news recently about the outbreak of a pneumonia-like virus in Wuhan. We understand that you may have questions about this, since the WTWA is located in Hubei province. For those who are coming to us in the next month or so, we would gladly put your mind to rest about this situation.
The official side of things: there are no restrictions for our area in place. The government generally advises travellers to wash their hands, not to touch animals and to wear a mouth-covering mask if they go into densely populated areas like big cities.
The factual side of things: the Wudang Mountains, home to the WTWA, are located in the north-west part of Hubei province. When you enter China, you will simply travel straight from Beijing or Shanghai, either to Shi'yan airport or Wudangshan station. Either way, rest assured: you will not come through (or even near) Wuhan, which is some 450 kilometres away, in the south-east of Hubei province.
In short, breathe easy and have a great trip coming to us. We look forward to seeing you in the beautiful, health-giving Wudang Mountains!
